For Weapon Lv 3, Weapon Lv 4 and Armor only.
Refine rates for Weapon Lv 3 and Lv 4 when using Normal Ore are based on WS Job70 rates.

Calculation assumption: The calculator treats every failed refine as either destroying the item or leaving it at the same refine level, according to your selection. It uses expected-value mathematics, so the result is an average over many refining attempts, not a guarantee for one item. Switching to Total Base Items changes only the quantity direction; the original final-item cost calculation remains available in Expected Successful Final Items.
Normal Ore refine fee is automatically 0 for Weapon Lv 3 and Weapon Lv 4 since we use a Whitesmith to refine them.
Cost calculation is slightly off because the base items and ores used are not rounded.
Example: choose Normal for +1 to +5, Enriched for +6 to +9, and Normal for +10. The calculator automatically uses the corresponding success rate from the uploaded rate table.
| Refine | Ore | Success Rate (updates with ore) |
|---|
| Refine | Ore | Rate | Cumulative Chance to Reach | Average Normal Ores Needed | Average Enriched Ores Needed | Base Items Surviving at Refine Lv | Average Total Ores Needed | Average Base Items Needed |
|---|
Normal and Enriched ore rates are kept separately for Weapon Lv 3, Weapon Lv 4, and Armor. Cumulative chance is the probability of reaching that refine level from the selected start level. Average Normal Ores, Average Enriched Ores, and Average Total Ores are the expected total ores consumed to successfully reach that level, including repeated earlier refining caused by destroyed items. Base Items Surviving at Refine Lv shows the expected number of items remaining after successfully passing each refine level. It works backward from the requested final-item count: the final level equals the requested successful final items, while earlier levels show the larger number of items that must survive to provide those final items.
